Updated the drivers which did not help so removed and reinstalled the drivers, but that too did not help. This driver is included in the Ubuntu 8.
I installed the RHEL 4. It cannot detect any wireless network at all. Linux driver support is now available to Dell-branded wireless cards. However, I can’t connect to the internet through it. But I still don’t see my Wireless connection.

Just starting out and have a question? Log back in, and the driver should reinstall. I have a dell laptop with at dell wireless wlan mini-card driver, when I installed Ubuntu side by side with Win7 I assume it was missing a wireless driver since that’s what it said. I purchased RedHat basic service, but after a week of playing one-message-per-day email ping-pong with me they said “Ain’t my job, man”, because RedHat doesn’t supply that driver.

Validate you don’t have a older wl. Reboot again after loading the new driver, just to make sure you are starting from a good base. My laptop is grey. Found the solution on my own. Here is dells notification of Broadcom Supplying the driver.
All the information I’ve obtained has been from users with mihi-card same problem, on older versions of Ubuntu I’m sorry I can’t be of more help but I’m kinda-sorta Linux retarded at the moment. If you’d like to contribute content, let us know. I dunno if that’s the driver for your card, but it couldn’t hurt.
